I also bought Production Suite and was hoping for the Free Upgrade.

Don't see any reason why it won't happen,lot's of us saw the offer.

Perhaps someone would care to clarify the position.

I'll wait, order it from Sweetwater for the same price Cake is offering it, and get the DVD's for free. I can live without the string package.

I just can't wrap my mind around why people would pay $30 extra for DVD's from Cakewalk, when everyone else gives them to you for free? You could put that money toward a future PC Module or something useful.

$30 for the dvd's is a ripoff. All of that cost is figured in to the cost of X2 already ... it's not like they print the boxes and burn the DVD's on demand ... they are already printed, sitting in a warehouse waiting to ship, and have been paid for already and that cost has been figured in to the selling price of X2. I could see $12 (like it used to be) or even $15 ... heck, I might even spring for $20 ... but $30? Really? No thanks.
