I am on the fence, I probably will. I have not started using X1 in anger yet, but I figure there are enough new, tasty features in X2 to give me that extra push to finally learn the new interface.
On the downside no Vista support. I guess I will gamble the upgrade fee on my assumption it will work fine on 64 bit Vista SP2.
I am not too worried about the discs, after a couple of months you will have to go and download the latest updates anyway, even if you have the original disks.
I keep copies of downloaded install files and content and electronic copies of authorisation emails, receipts etc.
- On a external hard drive - (makes for nice, fast reinstalls.)
- As a Acronis backup of that drive on another hard drive
- On DVD's - I use a ring binder with CD Pockets and keep printouts of authorizations emails etc. next to them in the folder.
