Exporting a small section

This has probably been asked before but I can't seem to find any posts on the subject.

Is there a way to export just a section of a project? If so, how do I go about it?

You can make a selection in the ruler (where you have the bar numbers) and export that section only as per usual.

As far as I know, the project has to contain only audio but I could be wrong.

I find that if I highlight a section in the ruler it also highlights a particular track and then only renders out a section of that particular track.

it works with midi and audio

you can do this with midi as long as the export tracks include the synth which is an audio output.

if you work totally with midi and synths this is handy.
