Mouser, I'm using an ASUS Sabertooth Z77 MB with and i5 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) 3570K proc, 2 SSD drives (C: for OS and D: for Programs (Sonar X1)) and a 2TB Hitachi 6Gbps E: drive for Sonar Projects. Runs fairly cool between 27c idle and 40-45c running. Ivy bridge procs run a little hot anyway. 16GB of DDR3 memory. I use a ATI Radeon HD 5450 which is adequate for dual monitor support. I use an LG 32" HDMI for my primary display and Viewsonic 20" DVI for my secondary. Looking to replace my secondary with another LG 32". It's between that or a Roland A-800 Pro MIDI KB controller. Also, all these components are stored in a Silverstone SST-LC13-E case which is rack mounted in an SKB rolling 4U rack (Studio on Wheels :)). What's really interesting me about X2 is the improved audio engine. I'm trying to use this at live gigs as well as the studio. Right now, I lug around my 32 channel Behringer board and hardware (compressors, FX unit, EQ, etc.) Even though Cakewalk doesn't recommend using Sonar in a live situation, it would sure be so much easier. I tried using Sonar X1 in a live situation on a i3 laptop and as I added effects to the vocals, the latency killed me. Luckily I had my board in the car as a backup. Hope some of this helps, Ciao, Gio
