  • Pops and click at low latency using GR5 as a standalone but not as a plug? (p.2)

I find this interesting. I tried to use GR4 again the other day to compare to TH2. I have my presonus 44vsl set to 128 samples which give me 7.3ms roundtrip and the latency just kills me. It sounds like 12.2 ms roundtrip isn't bothering you much with your focusrite. Do I have something set wrong in GR4? Is there a performance issue with my presonus? Or does the latency just bother me more than you?

I couldn't see anyone being that sensitive to 7.3. That's about what I get at the lowest setting with the Scarlett and it's just like I'm plugged into my amp. Even at 12ms I have to really strain to hear the latency. Is it only when you are using GR as a standalone?

I'll check later and make sure I'm not doing something stupid. I was running it in Sonar. My latency with GR4 is very noticable. TH2 was running just fine.

Stupid is as stupid does! Ok what i was hearing was the aweful reverb and "air" on the Fender amp. I turned all of that completely off and used the sonitus reverb and presto! A very useable Fender tone from GR4. I learn something everyday from reading on this forum.
