Is there somewhere that I can, without typing it in manually, export a mix without having to type out the project name in the file save box. Cheers, Steve R.

If you mean an autonaming feature, not that I'm aware of apart from if it is a clip already in Sonar in which case you can drag it to the browser where it will be auto-named.

is it too much trouble to name the export?

I like to give it a name with the date of the export so I know when it was created by looking..... that way...as I work on the mix later to fix or adjust things and I export again I know immediately which one is the newer one.

what's it take...like 3 seconds to name it?

My Export names always contain:
  1. Project Title
  2. Version
  3. Date/Time

After I do the first save, I always use that one to save/overwrite.  But I also maintain back-ups on a separate drive labeled as suggested above.

Sonar doesn't have the feature then. That's fine. It would be nice though. Actually dragging the clip to the browser option will be just as useful. Cheers for that. I can at least mix the whole track to a new track first. Steve R.
