Hi All!

I was just wondering (as I'm backing up all my recent projects) if it's possible to save cwp files to more than one location automatically?

I wanted to try to configure Sonar X1 Producer Expanded to save my projects to my C: drive as well as an external drive whenever I close and save a project.

If anyone has any info on this one it will be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if it can be done at the same time.

I DO save a master back-up copy before anything is touched, then as a project goes on I save an additional back-up copy.  After you loose a project you really begin to appreciate the practice of "Save As".

No, not possible. You'll either have to save twice or copy the saved project manually after you close SONAR.

Acronis true image now has a non stop backup facility so you can choose files or directories to backup, which it does continuously.

Of course there's probably a resource hit there to swallow as well though.

Just do a save as to the other hard drive. It takes a few seconds in most cases.

Try Microsoft's free SyncToy:

SyncToy 2.1 is a free application that synchronizes files and folders between locations. Typical uses include sharing files, such as photos, with other computers and creating backup copies of files and folders.

How's your file structure? Saving the cwp to another location doesn't help much if you don't save the audio.

Even if you use Per Project Audio Folders, the cwp file does not get saved in those as default, but in the system drives Cakewalk Projects (assuming you have separate HDD for audio).

If you are online..... carbonite will back up the files automatically.

if not...click and copy and paste or drag to the other drive.... internal or external.... takes a few seconds to do.
