Audiosnap works GREAT - if you spend about 2 hours tweaking it manually. Intelligence could be improved, but only so far. At best, might knock it down to half the time it takes now.

I folded after using Audiosnap the first time and haven't used it or needed it since.

Is it any good?

Mooch sez it is. In the case of drum blending/drum replacement he sez you don't need drumagog.

+ 1

It is good for that ......now if it's easier than drumagoo in terms of usage ...I don't know .....

But it works for blending soft synth drum and getting rid of bleep ...ya for sure

I'd believe anything mooch tells me.

He is an accredited music educator... which means I would probably enjoy learning many things from him, but I guess it will not be enjoyable.

ok then.

best regards,

Are you made because I didn't like the band you recorded? They made me fall asleep and I am in the middle of a gout attack ....that's not a small feat to accomplish ... The pain was bad last night I hardly slept at all and church went with out my fabulous piano skills

I'm mostly with Mike on this one, with a variation.

For guitar parts, I listen to the part. If I hear something that sounds "off," I move the transient marker to the beginning of the actual note, as Sonar doesn't know whether the noise before the attack or the attack itself is the note.

Then I move the transient marker so the note starts in the right place. Typically there will be 6-12 or these or so in a part and then it's done.

I almost never snap an entire part unless it's something brainless, like a four-on-the-floor kick.

Or a repeating (yet funky) Hugh McCracken/Nile Rodgers kind of single line or wah wah part.  Studio One quantizes them without a hitch...and maintains the funk...with one click.  Again, it may be because I'm just to dense...or lazy...to get it, but Audio Snap is COMPLETELY useless to me.  Glad YMMV.

A big +1 except that I actually try it once with each new version.
