@Kenny - thanks, I'm glad you liked it!   While I was very much into prog during the 70s and played some in bands, I also got into jazz to an extent too on the side, mostly through my older brother who went to Berkley (very jazz oriented).  I wish I could play some of that material today but it seems a bit unlikely, hence some loose phrases here and there...

@Robby - thanks!   Funny you should say that - not only am I long time ELP fan but the Works tour in '77 was my first concert.  Nothing like spinning Hammonds and shooting fire balls...

Very cool Steve! Sounds very good. Really like the organ and leads.

Very nice Steve and well played/mixed.  It definitely had an ELP tilt to the prog rock vibe to my ears....a bit busy but I like that and this one carried well.  Good job!

@Dan - thanks!  Having heard some of your pieces I very much appreciate that.

@Tony - Thanks, I'll take an ELP reference any time!  I didn't actually have ELP in mind when I was doing this, but the influence is hard to keep out, especially when it comes to organ parts where Emerson is always lingering...

very impressive, Steve!  definitely prog rock sounding (which I also was really into in the 70's..)

my first impression was more of a "Yes" sound, but they were my favorite, so that may be biased!  ELP works as well!

really cool stuff!

Thanks, Reece!   Much appreciated.

I've probably spent more of my life listening to Yes than any other single band.      But I've always found it extremely difficult to write something that sounds Yes-ish than others I really liked around the same time like ELP, Kansas or Genesis.    Funny how that works.

Well I do love progish music so I shouldn't complain on this. Its very well done but I can not accomplish with 9/8 but its my problem not yours. Everything sounded well anyway - the organ was maybe a little to high sometimes.
A ****-comment I know - never mind of it.

Thanks, eko.

FWIW there are a few other time signatures thrown in including good ole' 4/4, but it's the main "theme" that's in 9/8.

I know the organ might be a little hot in a few spots, but I'm really liking the Kontakt vintage organs so didn't have the heart to lower the volume...
