Slap Bass Libraries

I read the other thread about bass samples and would like to know if there are any good Slap Bass libraries out there.. I have NI's Jay Bass which is pretty good, but haven't seen a whole lot in the Slap Bass category.

Probably because the Seinfeld theme basically ruined slap bass for the rest of us...

Jay Bass is kind of known for that style, but check out Ilya Efimov's Retro Bass.

Orange Tree's Cherry Bass has a very good slapped articulation as well as fingered and picked (both sustain and muted) articulations. You and set up velocity switching for the different articulations if you so desire.

Orange Tree's Cherry Bass has a very good slapped articulation as well as fingered and picked (both sustain and muted) articulations. You and set up velocity switching for the different articulations if you so desire.

The only OTS bass I don't have...yet...lol.

I have OT's Rick (very good IMO), but no cherry. Will have to take a look at that Cherry bass.....

Cherry sounds great and is versatile, but its an older interface. The method of loading the articulations is a bit clunky but I have now managed to make Komplet Kontrol presets for each articulation, which is cool.

Glyn, is that a separate software you got with your new keyboard or is it within the Komplete Kontrol software that was given to everyone?

I have OT's Cherry, and NI Jay Bass, both are very good. I don't have these, but Ample Sound has some great sounding ones, too, if interested.

Yeah Dave.....I listened to those Ample Sound demo's and wow!! They do sound great....I'm very inclined to get that (hopefully, when they have a sale). It seems like a very friendly/easy to use interface.

I had it before the keyboard, I thought it was an addition to Komplete but it looks like you can download it here http://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/newsletter-download/komplete-kontrol-software/
