i'd like to see forum hosts deleting off-topic responses in threads, but i don't know how to make them do this - heyulp!

I think that the hosts are onto these ... and will say something if it goes too far. It's a double edged sword ... since after a while you would have gotten every one mad and gone! That defeats the purpose of the whole thing, and it is supposed to be a bit more fun, not some kind of fan adoration palace!
