I only come to the forum if I have a major problem (which fortunately isn't too often) or to ask for advice.  I am deeply saddened by this news, as Billy was instrumental in getting some of my MIDI problems sorted.  He was, as his avatar implied, the MIDI guru and was always helpful.  He will be missed.  RIP.

RIP Billy, sounds like he was a guy with many talents, a colorful history, and a warm and friendly soul to boot. 

I was afraid if this. RIP Billy, thank you for everything.

To all of you that did all the work to find this all out, thank you for your efforts. At least we know the truth now and it shows how caring this forum truly is. Sad news indeed, but nonetheless a great forum that goes to the ends of the earth for friends.

So in that thread I mentioned earlier - the last one Billy started - when he was speaking about someone close struggling w/ cancer - how nasty it was and we had to stay strong and fight back - he was actually referring to himself I guess. :(

Somehow I was hoping for a different outcome. I am so sure all of you were doing the same.

In a way I was in a little bit of denial about this. This forum will not be the same.
