I have his book. Let me research. Of course he just had that dumpy reverb chamber at Abbey Road so what would he know about reverb (sic).

I bought Valhalla Room not long ago based on all the respect it gets on this and other forums. While the sound itself is impressively lush and cool and spaceous, I can't seem to make it 'transparent' enough for effective rooms and ambience! Either it's there or it's not, know what I mean?

So UAD RealVerb Pro is still my goto for rooms.

But damn, that Valhalla is lush though....

While valhalla room gets a lot of love, people should really check out ArtsAcoustic reverb, it's gorgeous, but like valhalla, it's a reverb that wants to be heard.

VSS3 Source reverb from my powercore card is also a very nice reverb, can be lush or can be transparent.

I don't know anyhing about MPX but I will plug Valhalla Room given any chance. $50 and it is excellent.
Search these forums - it has a lot of fans.

+1. I love Valhalla Room. It's my go-to verb. Rich, dense and full.

Wow!!!  Many thanks for the enlightenment my friends!  I think I will hold off on the Lex MPX for now, check out Breverb, and look at some the recommendations made here.

And hey... the Ventures was my favorite group for many years!!

No one mentioned the free plugin Ambience.  I use it a lot and can recommend it on certain applications.  It is highly customizeable.  I have had really good experience with Pantheon by the way.  Just takes patience to taylor it.

Have a great week everyone, and thanks again.

Tony

Now let's get X2 rollin'.
