When I attempt to import a wav file into a track in my project, by whatever means, all that shows up is a row of dots.
 
The source files is 44/24, the project is 44/24, and most other wav files import properly.
 
The audio file in question opens properly in other programs, like Sound Forge, and Reaper, but Sonar doesn't seem to want it.
 
Anyone have any suggestions.

That probably means that the file had a Broadcast .wav file time stamp and that it was placed on your timeline at the what it thinks is the sync point.

Scroll WAY over to the right side of your time line to find your sound clip and drag it back to zero.

There is an option in SONAR to turn off the feature.

Describe the means? Right click the WAV file and look at the properties. If it only happens on this one file, its probably a problem with the file.

To stop broadcast WAVs from importing at their timestamp, do the following...

1. Choose Edit > Preferences or press P on your PC keyboard.
2. In the dialog box, choose the File > Audio Data category.
3. Remove the checkmark next to the option called: Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp.
