With M-Audio's latest Delta driver and X1d I no longer have the problem, but I'm pretty sure X1c was doing it.  It is frustrating no doubt about it.  I've had various versions of Sonar do it and other's that don't so whether it's the driver or Sonar I really don't have any idea.

I have no doubt its something Delta 1010 MAudio related....

MAudio cant write drivers for toffee.....

I'm using the 5.10.0.5076 drivers as the latest Win 7 Drivers wont let me change Sample rate from 44.1 no matter what!

For reference the latest Win 7 Drivers and Sonar still crashed anyway....

I did try all the usual things guys, like when Sonar crashes, kill all the Maudio processes, Windows Audio Service, everything Audio related basically but still SonarPR.exe wont free itself up.

But guys, Sonar is the only bit of software I have ever used that behaves like this after a crash.....

In your defense, I've been having a lot of white screen crashes of Sonar. I just went out to the M-Audio site and got the latest driver for my Delta44. Apparently there is a newer one for Windows 7 64-bit SP1. I'll see if that helps. You should check for a newer one for the 1010.

EDIT: Its 6.0.8

yes, that driver proved to be quite hellish....Also it lies! After installing it you can clearly see that the MAudio proc is still running under *32 bit when the site clearly states its a 64 bit Win 7 SP 1 driver....

*sighs*
