When I ordered the full version I called cake tech support before I installed it as I was concerned if there would be an issue when installing X2.

The tech said: I don't think there will be a problem but, if you're concerned about it, you could do an advanced install and deselect the Sonar TH2 so it does not install over the full version...

He didn't seem to really know and I don't remember if TH2 Sonar sat in the PC or not. Guess we will find out in a week or so. But still enjoying the full version now.

TH2 Sonar isn't a PC module. It'll be like GR4 was. Just a plug. However, supposedly we'll be able to toss plugs like that into the PC with six assignable controls but I'd imagine TH2 will be something you'd wanna tweak from it's own GUI. I've just been playing with GR5 again, specifically Control Room Pro, so when we FINALLY get our X2 I can have a better comparison. Man, is it me or has this been like the longest month in the history of FOREVER?! ;-p

Oh and if it's anything like GR4 as far installation I still apparently have access to GR4 Sonar separately on my system even though I installed GR5. Might be the same type of scenario.

There should be no problems installing X2 over the full version of TH2. In fact you should see two versions if you do an express install. I went through the same thing when I bought the full version of True Pianos. Once you install X2 it should copy your settings from X1 into X2. The folder structure should be close to the same. Your new VST folder may even have the same name as X1 which means all will be ok.

I personally plan on doing a reformat and installing Sonar X2 on top of that. Then i will reinstall TH2 full version when Install my other third party plug-ins

Thanks Marcus, some great info there.

By the way, I've made a PDF and a Word document (in both .docx and .doc format) of all the Amp Models, Effects, Cabs, Mics etc if anybody wants a copy.

Just PM me your email address and I'll send you whichever version/s you want.

That looks great Steve. You would think they would put something like that in the owners manual. Nice Job!

lol... I was thinking there was little too much tongue in cheek in that to be an official release.
