Notice that the cabinet that allows for IR is not included. I don't think IR is a function in cakewalks version. This alone is worth the upgrade for me. Would someone from Cakewalk please correct me if I am wrong. there are also no Brunetti amps. Only the full version has those. I really liked those models. This information is according to this blog link provided by Thatastrat.
I am thankful that cakewalk included a lite version of TH2 in X2. If it were not for that then I would not have known about it. This confirms to me that the full version was worth the price of admission. I am glad I purchased it, and I am thankful for the discount for being a cakewalk customer because this thing really sells for about $199.00
Thank you and the Cakewalk Blog for providing this valuable info. The proof is in the details. The best amps and cabs are of course not included in the TH2 Producer edition. For me the only reason to use TH2 over Amplitube or Scuffham S-Gear is access to the Brunetti amp and the LynchBox amp, which in my opioion are not better than Scuffham for Blues/Fusion/driven clean sounds, just another option. And as you have noted, there is also no IR Cabinet, which means no input for cabinent IR impluses like Redwirez. Knowing now what is not included, it confirms my intent upon buying the full upgrade to TH2 for the $99. Don't get me wrong, the TH2 Producer would be a great asset for someone not owning Amptlitube or Scuffham; just it would not be very often used by me. I'll get the upgrade and be "a/b'ing" the Brunetti and S-Gear frequently to see which one wins the boutique amp sim race [btw, my bet is still on S-Gear].
Again, thanks for the details.
