Ok. The blog is about TH2 Sonar. TH2 Producer includes 10 effects. It looks like both have IR loading included. I think I can upgrade now! Hahaha....We all knew that would happen!

Has anyone tried using the TH2 amps with GR5 (or 4) effects yet?

Check out the blog for a complete run down of what is included in th@ version of Sonar.

Thank you Thatastrat

That answered a ton of questions. There are some great things in Sonars version, here are all the amps included in the Sonar version,

The TH2 Amp contains eight amps modeled after some of the most classic sought after amps:
Rock 900 (UK)
Top30
SloDrive
Darkface 65
Modern
Bassface ’59
Rock ’64
Overloud Custom
THD UniValve
Randall T2

Here are all the cabinets

4×12 Vintage (UK)
2×12 Top30 (UK)
4×12 England (UK)
2×12 OB Darkface ’65 (US)
4×12 Modern (US)
4×12 HeaVy51 (US)
4×12 Green (UK)
4×10 OB Tweed ’59 (US)
4×12 Green (UK)

Notice that the cabinet that allows for IR is not included. I don't think IR is a function in cakewalks version. This alone is worth the upgrade for me. Would someone from Cakewalk please correct me if I am wrong. there are also no Brunetti amps. Only the full version has those. I really liked those models. This information is according to this blog link provided by Thatastrat.

I am thankful that cakewalk included a lite version of TH2 in X2. If it were not for that then I would not have known about it. This confirms to me that the full version was worth the price of admission. I am glad I purchased it, and I am thankful for the discount for being a cakewalk customer because this thing really sells for about $199.00

Thank you and the Cakewalk Blog for providing this valuable info.  The proof is in the details.  The best amps and cabs are of course not included in the TH2 Producer edition.  For me the only reason to use TH2 over Amplitube or Scuffham S-Gear is access to the Brunetti amp and the LynchBox amp, which in my opioion are not better than Scuffham for Blues/Fusion/driven clean sounds, just another option.  And as you have noted, there is also no IR Cabinet, which means no input for cabinent IR impluses like Redwirez.  Knowing now what is not included, it confirms my intent upon buying the full upgrade to TH2 for the $99.  Don't get me wrong, the TH2 Producer would be a great asset for someone not owning Amptlitube or Scuffham; just it would not be very often used by me.  I'll get the upgrade and be "a/b'ing" the Brunetti and S-Gear frequently to see which one wins the boutique amp sim race [btw, my bet is still on S-Gear].

Again, thanks for the details.

Every wondered what the pseudonymous names on these Amp sims represent?  Here is a site that helps translate the pseudonyms in these amp components for Overloud: http://www.audio-hardware-emus.com/th1_over.html.

Also links are given to Pseudonym Lists for NI, IKM, Waves, URS and Softube Amp sims.Notice in the right margin.  Don't know if the guy is guessing, but it helps a bit.

That blog isn't talking about the Producer version. I don't know if there is a difference or not. It does say you can load IRs.

The blog says

As an awesome bonus, users can load in impulse responses to add infinite numbers of cabinets to the collection. Impulse responses from convolution reverb plugins like Perfect Space can also be loaded to a cabinet for some really creative one of a kind sounds too!

I did not see that I was just looking at the cabinets that were listed. The IR cabinet was not listed amoung the cabinets. So I stand corrected. It is a great thing that the feature is there. Still glad I upgraded

@Marcus... lulz, I'd really like to but that price ain't going anywhere soon so it can wait. My next two musical investments are going to be some work on my main guitar and a MIDI keyboard controller. The axe is kind of fretting out on me (needs a new nut and it's screwing up my recordings) and without a proper controller I can't really play with all the fancy synth goodies which I'm kind of itching to do. I just wish they let us download the Sonar version of TH2 so I could play with it now. Impatience really is the only thing tempting me to jump on the offer... but I've learned some self restraint in my old age. ;-)

Download the demo. That's what I'm playing around with. I don't know if it's better than Guitar rig or not so, I would like to hear your opinion of it. One things for sure, we all get TH2 producer and maybe that will be enough for some people. I have really been liking a couple of the amps that won't be included, and I'm thinking (for now) that it's better than my Line 6 HD500. $99 is a very fair price, but I have just bought a new external hard drive, Sonar x2 and Audio technica ath-m50s headphones...My wife is a saint!

I wish I could learn some self restraint...I already owned 4 amp model programs. My mistake was downloading the demo for TH2. at first I thought cool let's see what this can do, that turned into wow what a great program, that turned into I want this, that turned into I need it, and that turned into I got to have it. Guitar is my primary instrument, that is one reason why I bought a you rock guitar for a cheap midi controller. I fall for this stuff all the time.
