  • X2 question for the bakers- "Delete hole" and bus automation

If one deletes a section of an arrangement and selects "delete hole", everything selected is deleted, and the content after the selection is moved right next to the content right before the selection. This is a great feature. However, in every version of Sonar so far, using delete hole has done nothing to modify bus automation- it remains untouched, so after a "delete hole" operation it is now incorrect if any bus automation adjustments were made after the point in the timeline where the hole was deleted. Is this fixed in X2? Peace, Tunes

The delete hole operation has undergone big improvements in X2. Deleting a hole with bus automation now works fine. Note that delete hole works on the selection.

Since bus and track selection are independent, if you want the hole to apply to the entire project you must select all tracks and then CTRL-drag in the bus pane to select the buses you wish to operate on. Once you do that you can delete a hole that includes bus automation.

Hi Noel:
On the same subject, is there an option now to maintain Delete Hole status until you are done? Meaning you can lock X2 into either regular Delete and Delete Hole?
Thanks

No there isn't but there isn't really a need for the same. The delete special dialog remembers the last selected options so the next time you repeat the operation it will do the same thing.

OK that is great.

You mean that once I use the Delete Hole option, then next time just using the Delete key, it will remember to Delete Hole as well, in X2 that is?
