need help -this is extremely frustrating because it is affecting (needless to say) everything. so, yeah, the master solo button is stuck in the engaged position. there is no track that i can find that is in solo state (even hidden - where I have no tracks that i can see hidden)

You might want to consider sending the project to tech support.

What happens when you click the master solo button? 

Did you save the project, exit Sonar and then restart Sonar? 

nothing happens. it remains stuck. apparently, (as an update), I notice there is supposedly 1 midi track within my bass folder that I cannot access. I have looked for hidden tracks in track view but cannot find this one midi track. even the bass folder has half of its "S" button green (and I cannot disengage that either). yes, I have restarted sonar and even in safe mode with no plugs etc..

Shift + h to show ALL tracks.

I recommended you try this in the other thread you posted.

Did you perhaps inadvertently create an AUTOMATED solo? Perhaps there is an envelope in the Master lane that is holding SOLO in place? Just a thought..

shift H does nothing so i guess all tracks are showing..

LJB, that just may be the case. I also see that in the bass folder, there is supposedly 1 midi track accounted for but i don't see it in the track view. in other words, when i open the folder to see its contents, it shows 3 audio tracks, 1 midi, 0 synths and 0 hidden.

I think what you need to do is copy the visible tracks from that folder that you want to keep into a new track or folder and then delete the messed up folder.
