After reading the extremely lengthy "No VST3 post", I thought I would throw this out there.

I read SO MANY users saying that VST3 development is not important to them.  Cakewalk has said that they feel that not enough of their base users want this feature.  So...let's put it to a vote.  In your response, please only choose ONE of the numbers from the following list.  After I see that the thread has died down, I will calculate the numbers and post back what the users think is important in X2.

Again....just so that it is not impossible for me to go through when the voting is over....DO NOT COMMENT.  Just leave one number.

1 = VST3 inclusion

2 = Melodyne integration

3 = More R-Mix options/development

4 = Totally, 100% gap free audio

I will start:

1.

I will go second:

none of the above but if I had to choose 4

Obviously, I vote for #5!!

5 - major update or complete re-write of Notation View.

I am surprised that Staff View improvement did not make the list. It is an annual complaint. VST3 is a newby by comparison. In any event, I vote yes.

I read the entire VST3 post. I don't have a dog in that fight. I don't need it and I would not use it. However I think the people who want notation raise a valid issue. After looking at the new features in X2 I think the RD people did a great job. I am usually the last guy to update and I tend to update every other version.

I would not trade any feature in X2 for VST3. I would go with option 5 from shinyhead.
