but: i'm speaking of 3.5, NOT 3. And it doesn't make sense to just host vst3 v3.5 plugins. The host itself has to be extended to actually support vst 3.5 specific feature, like polyphonic automation and expression map integration, in whatever way.

Other than that, I'd vote for #6: a revamp of ACT, although automap already fulfills my needs for at least plugin remote control, host independent, so ACT2 should cater rather for Sonar remote. Midi feedback would be cool, for example...

2,1 and 4!

Actually Melodyne is a pain with Sonar (you can't loop!).

Stop developing plugs and vsti's and focus on ARA implementantion,VST3 and gapless audio engine (and of course bug fixes!!).

+1 for "none of the above but if I had to choose 4"

2 - ish. As loptec said, improved Melodyne, or whatever. Just a decent quality pitch correcter. V-vocal's sound quality is semi-professional, but it still has a bit of work before you could even consider calling it professional quality.

I vote for #5!!

5 - major update or complete re-write of Notation View.

4 - gapless audio. It's about the only thing that really bugs me about Sonar when I'm in the zone.

2 would be vst3 just to keep up with the competition.

Focus on the core, leave the rest to specialized plugs and apps, jack of all trades, master of none and all that.

I vote 4 first + the work they did on new Pro Channel and console emulation

after that then 1, 2.

I still haven’t decided yet if I going to upgrade to X2 but if this slow progress continues of not adding new technologies in time, they will eventually lose me as a customer too.

  1. A true mastering suite, ala Studio One
  2. A bigger FX bin on busses.  I'm tired of that tiny box when there's so much real estate on busses.
  3. Melodyne integration.
  4. K-metering system
