Help
I am trying to create a .ins file for a Roland JP 8080 (then my Waldorf Wave).  I understand the painstakingly slow process of naming every thing then copying it into the .ins file.

Where I am off is the bank select stuff.  Is there any way other than random guesses to know the bank select methods?

Thanks

You'll need to consult the manual which you should be able to find as a PDF on Roland's web site if you don't have your own.

It will tell you an MSB and LSB number for each bank. Multiply the MSB by 128 and add the LSB. This will give you your bank select number.

FWIW...my column in the September 2012 issue of Sound on Sound covers how to create instrument definitions.
