I love the Nomad Factory's version of the famous mid-range EQ,even if I have'nt fully worked the controls to perfection yet[Nomads manual is a reprint of an original pultec sales flyer,and not really instructive].

Anyway,If I decide to change a preset,on the pulse tech,I instantly get a crash in X1d Expanded x64,WHILE THE PROJECT IS RUNNING,if the transport is stopped,no worries,I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I've got Pulse Tec and have never noticed this behaviour.  I'll check just to make sure but don't think that happens here.

Thanks yorolpal,yeah it just happened again,right then.

I suspect its this dell laptop,and the project,although its only 15 tracks it has 6 instances of Guitar Rig,and Amplitube each,lol,so I think this is just tipping it over the edge,I'll just have to stop transport.

It's a bummer,as I thought I had finally got this laptop solid,and it is for the most part.

Are you using the latest version?  I've got two nomad bundles, these are really stable.. I've not had a nomad factory problem in any DAW ever..  When nomad dropped pace/ilok as their copy protect, things then ran even better..

I'd open up your authorizer or whatever, and make sure you are on their latest installer

Yes Linear Phase,everythings up to date,the pulse tech is the only NF plug I have,like I said,unfortunately I think its THIS laptop,but thanks,at least I'm getting the idea that its possibly not a problem so much with the plugin,more the fact that there's too much processing,Ill try bouncing the drum track,as its all running [SSD4 platinum]and should be bounced as I'm more than happy with the drums so..

Late night here,will keep going for a while.

That is so weird!  Have you emailed Nomad..  They are very good on bug fixes..  and in your signature..  that computer should be able to handle anything you throw at it...

Yes,with me desktop,its totally no problem/not doing anything weird,it's this 2011 Dell XPS L502x i7 2630QM cpu Laptop only.


I just have to remember to stop transport,and bouncing the drums made no difference.

No it works here perfectly, never had any trouble with that plugin. I understand that you want to get going with it because it sounds really good.
