Hi Folks,

I was working on a project and was also looking through the 'Sonar X1 Power!' book. I noticed that effects such as CW Reverb, DSP-FX Reverb, Studio Reverb and Studioverb2, though the 'icons' are present in the 'Audio FX' section, when I drag them over to the effects bin, I get a "This plugin is missing or improperly installed on your system." error message.  This is the first time I am noticing this, not becuase the plugins were working well before, but because I am only now trying to see what they have to offer.

Could something have gone wrong when I had installed X1? Or has it got anything to do with my project's sampling rate? Is there any way to rectify this problem short of reinstalling the software? Hope someone can advise. Thanks.

Some of the old DX effects don't work in 64-bit Windows. Install a 32-bit version of Sonar if you need to use those old ones. I'd recommend replacing those in the project with newer 64-bit VST effects instead.
