Anyone else have a problem with this? I downloaded it after I purchased the X2 upgrade on the pre-sale page and after installation any attempt to open Dimension Pro resulted in Sonar completely freezing. I'm using W7 Home Premium, I have other Dim Pro add-ons installed and never had this issue previously. I uninstalled just this add-on and now it opens up fine.

It froze up on me also but I just restarted the program and it functioned OK after that.

I think what you're seeing is, not so much a "freeze" as a one time slowdown.  When you add new programs, you need to refresh the program list (programs.lst) so that they'll show up in the Program Browser.  I'm going to guess that the library installer deletes the programs.lst file in order to force it to refresh.  Otherwise, you'd have to do it manually by selecting the browser and hitting F5.

Once it's gone through this process, it shouldn't bog you down again...until you add something else.

Yeah,I'm accustomed to that but this issue persisted not only through a Sonar restart but a complete PC power down/up.  I'll try again. Thanks.

It's a big list.  It took a few minutes on my system.  I think patience may be the key.

Haven't seen this.

What I did see was after extracting the .exe from the zip file and running it, it seemed to zoom through the installation process with the time remaining counting down quite rapidly.

Then, with 1 second left, it hung there for at least 5 minutes, in fact I left the room to make coffee and make a phone call - when I came back it had finished.

No issues after that, and I didn't have to refresh the DP browser - the new pack was automatically added when loading Sonar.

I'll be doing the download tonight, but FWIW I would agree with Dantarbill. The formula goes something like an already lengthy list of files + adding a lot more to it = a long time to update.

No issues for me.

Did the install, and sure enough, it hung.... For about 5 seconds! No need for a reboot or even any patience.

I've had a similar problem. Windows 7 Pro 32 bit Right clicked on the extracted 'application' file and then it tries to run or whatever (I did not see any option to Run as administrator) but stops just before the very end. This lasted for over an hour. Finally had to abort and could only do so by shutting down.
