I currently have X1 Production Suite and would like to move over to X2. Is my only option to downgrade from Production Suite to Producer? I there indeed such a product as X2 Production Suite?
 
 

It is not a downgrade. The Production Suite was X1 Producer Expanded with some extra stuff bundled with it. The features of X1 Producer Expanded have been folded into X2 Producer. The extra stuff bundled with the Production suite will still work with X2 Producer. There is no X2 Production Suite.

That's what I'm worried about. I've got Expanded... now I'm "upgrading" to Producer? Is there gonna be another Expanded for X2? Time will tell, but this is making me a bit skittish to jump on the pre-sale.

No. X2 Producer will be the top of the range (for now )

Expanded was really nothing more than Sonar X1.5 IMO. It was an upgrade/update that added functionality that is now being carried forward to the next upgrade/update!
I'm amused that it was perceived as some sort of add-on or new product line. But that's just me!

Yea, even CW staff have referred to expanded as a point release. Not much into predictions but if X2 follows the old annual release cycle the will be no Expanded. If it follows the X1 long release cycle, there will be some paid upgrade option.
