I'm creating drum maps for my orchestral libraries and a couple others that uses lots of keyswitches so I can name the keyswitches (to many to remember them all) but damn, this is taking forever.

Everything defaults when adding a new note in  the DM editor so doing a whole 88 keyboards worth I need to change the channel and output for each one (88 keys) * however many instruments I need to do = murder.

Isn't there anyway to just tell Sonar to default to the last selected channel and output? I've tried shift/control clicking to select a range but no joy

Ctrl+Shift as you select the Output Port. You don't need to select a range first.

Oh yeah, that's the stuff :D

Thanks, saved me some grey hairs there.

Hi Kenneth.

I believe it was you I was talking to last night about creating drum maps.

Here's the link to the post I made - it's long winded but precise and takes much less time to do in practice than it does to read the thing:

Get Cakewalk to revamp the interface for creating them!

It's an awesome midi routing matrix controlled by a Windows 3.1 looking vintage interface that is fiddly to set up.

Thanks Jonesey, will give that a read.

But yeah, the drum map editor seems like a leftover from win3.1 era, anyone remember program manager, moving to a new hard drive? Just copy C:\ and change the drives

Now where's my walker, and my glasses, and someone answer that damn phone (Seinfeld reference)
