well, now i know that the average age of sonar users is around 50. ;-) cheers to all you old fellas Michael

Figures! I always get to be average.

I learned the truth at 18 (not 17) that men never grow up beyond 18.

Gotta be old to understand this::   It was 1983 when I fell asleep last night.

I bet you still woke up feeling knackered!

How did I get here so quickly?

-----------------------------

Gotta leave soon, so cannot watch in real time.

So, I will record it using a trusty VCR.  A laptop is connected to a DVD/VCR which is routed to all the TVs in the house. Makes it easy to "watch" a program and do what needs to be done.

Thank you!

Seattle time?  In the UK I reckon it's in three hours' time (it's 5pm now), i.e. 8pm for me.  Or am I totally confused?

Well at least this time I don't have to calculate the time.

Just in case people want to know I agree with everything said on this thread.
The only thing that concerns me is I had no idea there were so many "old" people on this forum. I thought I was the only one.

My only comment is youth is wasted on the young.

I've been away a while (I have a bad habit of only poking my head up around release time, and this has been a particularly busy year) but since we're talking about it... I'll be 42 next month, not "old" per se but starting to creak a bit here and there, still no signs of growing up and getting a real job (I seem to make enough making and playing music every year to avoid the issue) and definitely still excited about a new Sonar. I've made a lot of music with X1, it's been pretty good to me all around, so seeing the next step in Sonar's evolution is a pivotal moment. John, I generally shared your enthusiasm early on and am also glad it's been largely borne out. Onwards and upwards!
