If you mean, can you use it on more than One computer the answer is yes. I have always used the on-line authorization so I'm not sure what it would encompass to authorize a computer that is not on-line.

By the way what is the protection scheme ?

Studio One can be download to one computer and installed on another so the answer is yes. I do it all the time with updates and upgrades. Installation can be on up to 5 computers at once. Activation can be both, on line or off line.

S1 can be activated up to 5 machines and you can deactivate them.

Thankee kindly gents. My home interweb speed is vastly faster than my downtown studio so I need to DL at home and then install downtown.

Question for all you guyz , how do you find S1 ? would you use it instead of Sonar ?
 
I'm pretty interested in some areas , but simple things like no plugin layout , icons , screensets (no sure), pkugin name renaming in fx bin  ect ...are stuff that i know gonna frustrat the hell of me !

Nope...so far this is proving problematic. Presonus wants to download an installer file. I do not want to install anything on this computer. I simply want to download all the necessary files and additional content...put them on a flash drive...take them to my studio...copy them over and THEN install them on that computer. Is there a way to do that??

I presume you are paying for it in full and once you have done that you need to create a Presonus account. Once you have got your account setup you go into it and you will see the software. You download the program and it may look an installer but it just a standard exe type file as far as I Know. It wont install unless you click on it and run it etc.. You can do that onto any machine. Then copy that over to a USB stick etc..  Transfer that to the computer you want to install it on. Copy it over and run it from there. It will simply install the program.
 
Now you can also download the key to unlock the program and transfer that to the other machine and go through the offline activation procedure. Or you can just put the second computer on line for a moment and it can activate direct from there.
 
The content comes as a whole bunch of soundsets which you can also download direct from your account to an external drive etc.  Remember it is 20 Gig all up. Then you can take that drive connect it to the second computer and just drag the soundsets direct onto the start page and they will install. (one at a time though please!)
