Looks good.

Cute but, there are already multiple ways to add new tracks. I have never seen this in the Feature request list. Negative, perhaps, but my honest opinion.

Just a few minutes ago I was setting up a new project and wanted to quickly add 12 audio tracks.  I couldn't find a command to insert more that one, so I had to do it 12 times, thinking there had to be a better way.  So the "number of tracks" field in the video really caught my eye.
 
EDIT :  Just discovered the "Insert / Multiple tracks..." in the main menu so I guess you could already.
The new way looks faster (and more obvious).

Yup, your message beat my report on discovering it.  If it had been in the track view context menu I would have found it. 
I rarely go the the main menu for anything if I can help it.

You can also set that up so that it becomes a button on the 'Custom' module in the toolbars display. It is a very handy and quick helper.
