This thread seems to be doing what I intended. I wondered if others were thinking the same thing. I am learning which threads to not even bother opening....My standard way I deal with CW is, I take them at their word, and if something doesn't work for me, my first response is it must be something I did or didn't do. Kinda like saying this car has no reverse, when  actually, one didn't know how to shift a manual transmission.............no it's not a perfect analogy....but I don't get paid for this!

I owned one of these. It did the job and never broke down. It didn't need speakers either.

An amplifier and speakers you can add, no problem (in Sonar relations, these are plug-ins and export functions).
 
It ls polished, looks cool, it probably sounds good and has components which can work forevers.
 
But.. my point was simple. It is still a RECORD PLAYER. It had quite some advantages over magnetic carrier, but it can not compete against modern digital formats. The physical limitations of the format, not a problem in particular implementation.
