I went to use the Vintage channel plugin today and I noticed that it wasn’t available in the fx bin.  I checked the Hard Drive and the plugin isn’t there.  So I reinstalled Sonar X1 and selected in the advanced options to just install the plugins.  So after that finished that I checked the location on the hard drive and VC-64 is now where it’s supposed to be.
But when I opened Sonar X1 and scanned for VST’s, the minute it scanned the Vintage channel plugin it disappeared from the hard drive again.  I reinstalled Sonar again and made duplicate copies and placed them in various directories and pointed the VST scan to them and they disappeared too!  UGHH!  What is going on here?  Can anyone help me figure this out?
Thanks in advance.

Judah . . . better help is available if you let us know some of your system specs.

Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit OS ? What soundcard ? etc . . .

I believe that the VC64 is a 32 bit plug and this is your problem.

Guess what?

I just ran a spyware scan and my anti-spyware program labeled it a virus called Virus.W32.Lamer.I!

I don't think that that's true so I'll try reinstalling it again.  Thanks for your help Thatastrat.
