My opinion after hearing them is that I wouldn't miss them if they were gone.  I doubt if I ever will use them.

The strings aren't bad but I'm spoiled. I already have East West's Symphonic Orchestra Gold Complete program which has awesome strings in it, so I'd probably still use that. If you need a string sample program these aren't bad for free.

Well I was reading on another thread that they sounded like a DX-7! That would definitely not work well for me. I don't even use Dim Pro anyway. I would rather have an additional cash discount but at least they are making a gesture.

My four year old son's keyboard has a better string sound than a DX-7.
 
I must get my Melotron MK1 back off him, it might be worth something nowadays, but it does match the wardrobe in his room..

I missed the X2 webinar due a busy day with clients and recording.. looking forward  to watching it when they release it. I am still in love with X1  and will seriously study the new features on X2 before  making my purchase later in the year...I am enamor over the  price of the product... just  fantastic ! and with in easy reach of my budget.  

You know, I have to say that I have never been impressed with any of the DFS stuff.  I purchased a pack during a previous special deal, and it's all pretty meh...

Also i would loved to see improbvements in the FX bin design and Sends in the console view ...under than that , they're in the right direction !! will jump on it but wait few updates until it's rocks solid before i will  install it ....

Great Webinar.  Just upgraded to X1 from 8.5 and was already experiencing huge improvements in my workflow. X2 looks very cool... Lanes, TH2, adding effects to your ProChannel strip and new timeline zooming.... I still don't "get" the Matrix way of doing things, but this webinar made me want to learn.... I'm excited.
