As I watch these videos I cannot help but think none of this stuff will be in Sonar X2 Studio and that we are only seeing X2 Producer features. I am curious what benefit do guys using Sonar X1 studio have to upgrade to X2 studio?

Thanks Seth. Sounds like the way to go for me is probably producer.

What's up with the 384kHz samplerate? I've never seen that number before. What exactly would one do with that?

You're welcome. Glad it helped you figure out which version is for you.  Just curious, but what feature(s) has you thinking of upgrading from Studio to Producer?

I understand that it requires heavier zippers on your trousers.

And this is probably a silly question but will I be able to load those one shots into BFD if I want? If not... SD3? I like having lots of smashy sounds available.

Well, ya, that's the main thing.

Other than that, its for those who have the hardware, desire, and hard drive space (but who's short on that anymore) to record at an ultra-high sample rate. Most of us, myself included, don't have an interface that can go beyond 192khz, but there are a few on the market that can.

Yep, they're standard WAV files so ya, they can be loaded into SD3, BFD (assuming it can load samples), and any other sampler like Battery, etc.

To load into SD3 you can actually drag and drop right from the Browser directly onto a kit piece. I would assume you can do the same with the other instruments, just have never tried it personally.
