Hi all, after the new video i suspect that the third console emu is modeled on A-Range Trident console, couse the knob and the button is the same.In the first video we believed that A was for Api console, but the gui is completly different. But maybe i wrong.Best.Roby

I'd also love to hear more about the console emulation. I bought Slate VCC and love it, as well their Virtual Tape Machine. I'm curious to know what the console emulation does exactly.
It's one of those things that adds to a multi-track mix but is very slight on 1-4 tracks (unless you drive it real hard).

I thought the three models were : SSL (S-type) Neve (N-type) and API (A-type), but I don't know why or how I arrived at this.  There is a Cakewalk webinar using X2 next week; perhaps we will learn more then.

Be very interested to see how they stack up to VCC.  I've also got Sknote's Roundtone tape emulator and it's very impressive, especially for $29.00.

I hope you are correct.  My first thought was an API, but looking at it again after reading your post you may well be correct.  I hope so.  I already have Slate's VCC; it has SSL, Neve, API, Trident and "RC tube" emulations.  Waves has the NLS and it has SSL, Neve and EMI emulations.  So we have a good selection available now.   Having another Trident emulation available would be a nice option, and so, very convenient in the ProChannel.

Good catch on the color of the knobs and their style!  Tomorrow maybe we will get a closer look if it is used for the webinar.  Thanks for posting and getting us excited about what is in that emulation feature.

A Type = Trident A range console. Apparently only 13 production units were built but the sound of that console has been on many famous recordings.
