Hi Guys,
I have had a couple requests to post some material, so here it goes.

Little info on the tracks:

Katya- I got a call from a local charity association.  They specialize in finding deserving orphans from other countries and sponsoring them for a summer trip to the U.S.  The host family was preparing to send the girl, Katya, back to Russia after spending a summer with them.  As they packed her bags, she was singing in her room.  The family heard her.  They were amazed.  As it turns out, she was a classically trained singer and sang in the orphanage for visitors, and for festivals.

I got a call with less than 24 hours before she stepped foot on the plane back to Russia; we donated the time for the studio. After working out the logistics, they showed up at the studio and had 3 hours to come in, nail it and leave for the airport.  Anyway, it was a great experience.  I wish we could would have had longer to get it done, but she wanted to sing 2 songs....and that did not leave much room for error.  She is a little flat here and there, but overall, I think it turned out well.  By the way, she was 13 years old and had never heard herself sing before.  She came out of the booth, heard me mixing and asked "Is that me?"  She cried.
Here is a video from a phone of the host parent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAiLt4wFtSQ&feature=em-share_video_user

Every Second- This is a track recorded for an ad agency for an "ICONIC" food brand.  They wanted to word "Moment" used in the song as much as possible.  Go figure.

The Dream- This is for a song library in L.A.  The owner of the library had a client that needed "angelic, floating music".  He also said that he did not want it to be too ambient..and needed it to move forward..not sit in one place.

Anyway..if anyone wants to know mics or gear or plugs or anything...I am happy to share!
Love this community.

Great tracks!
On Katya how did you approach the orchestra textures?
Love the very nice clean sound you have.

Like seeing you have the Event 20/20s.
I have a set of the 20/20ps and really have enjoyed them.

Also it looks as if your website is not working.
It takes you to a generic Go Daddy placeholder page.

It is great to hear what can be done with SONAR, and talented artists and engineers.

Thanks BIGBOI for the comments about "Cool Down!" This has evolved from a previous mix I did on Sonar 8.5 - then lengthened and mastered on X1 Producer- Expanded. My interface at the start was a TASCAM US 144...then / and now a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. Since for this song I used a USB MIDI keyboard on the Dimension Pro synth, and audio clips from the browser, the interface was not really directly involved here. On the DAW stereo channel containing the original mix down, in the fx bin I used MStereo Expander, by Melda Production (nice fx and processors for the cost; and the z3ta+fx - as an audio effect - set on the "Vangelis" preset. A second track was made with an M-Audio Oxygen 8 keyboard, with Dimension Pro synth, andthe Distant Boom - preset. After mixing all this down, imported to a mastering set up template I have set up in X1, with Pro Channel Master Bus Preset, then inserted: LP64 Multiband, Vintage Channel, and Channel Tools for the mastered mix-down.
