Which forum or other link would be a good one to get some tips on the sequence of setting up modules in Pro Channel ? The interest in sharing this seems to be minimal.

you asking which effects and order in PC?  As always, that depends.  But the usual order in the analog world on a big desk is gate, comp, EQ.  Gate to, well, winnow the sound down, comp to level, EQ to shape.  Of course, you could patch in more or even switch the order of the standard channel strip.

And on featured channels (vox, lead guitar, cow bell) one might double the compressors, having a quick, 1176 style comp to shape the sound before sending it to a slower attack LA2A comp to level and fill out the sound.

I find it best to stick w/ traditional, analog structure unless there is a reason to change, since there is a reason the processors were wired that way.
