Highly unlikely.

X1's development ended March. X1d was the last update although they never made an official announcement that it is the very last - X2's upcoming release negates any further updates for X1. The bad thing about the bugs is that X2 will have its own bugs that needs fixing while X1 bugs haven't yet been fixed. But they will most likely try to fix those reported X1 bugs in X2. So yes, you do get an update except it's called a paid for update or upgrade called X2.

Nope. However I'm not sure what bugs there are to fix at this point. When I joined the forum there were still a lot of threads about bugs but they seemed to pertain mostly to the C patch. I haven't seen too many ACTUAL and legitimate bug complaints pertaining to D and I personally haven't encountered any yet... although I haven't really opened her up. I'm sure there are probably a couple little things that could be fixed but from what I've seen here any of the issues with the D patch are either user/hardware error or some really obscure thing that only an extreme power user or specialist would encounter. Cheers.

Never!
X2 is the update. If you cant afford it then you're stuck with your bugs.
That's the Roland/Cakewalk way.

Don't worry tho. Chances are that the same bugs will still exist in X2 so you won't be missing out.

I am curious though... what bugs? I'd like to know what and where they are so I can avoid them or if I stumble across one I don't waste a bunch of time trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong. Also potential workaraounds or links to threads detailing bugs and workarounds would be great too. Genuinely interested. Cheers.

And that info would also help me help others when they run into problems. I like to help if and when I can considering what everyone here has done for me. :-)

That's the Roland/Cakewalk way.

Isn't that the way of just about every DAW manufacturer out there?   I don't think Cakewalk is any exception on this regard... at all.

I would not think that they would spend time on X1 now that X2 is just around the corner. Thats just bad business practice for them now, and makes no sense to do that no matter how many unfinished things we still want to get repaired / finished for X1. And thats why I will now be splitting my time with X2,  and the new 6.5 version of Cubase...

Don't worry tho. Chances are that the same bugs will still exist in X2 so you won't be missing out.

LOL after X1's famous entry into this world Im not doubting you, altho I would hope it go's alot smoother than that did.

I'm upgrading to X2..  I'm sure they fixed some bugs...  Software is a living breathing, ever changing product..  Its different than a microwave...  When was the last time, "Panasonic," sent a tech to update your ten year old microwave...

As if Cubase has no bugs...  LMFAO..  its one thing to buy it, if you want it, but to pretend its, "bug free."  The first thing you learn about Cubase is how to save your project file..  trust me on that
