But doesnt mention anything about unrestricted color customization for all views including console view. Is that feature now updated to be like in previous versions like Sonar 7 OR does it continue to be restricted like in Sonar X1 ?

Why? I don't want to pay for it again in this upgrade. I've already bought it from them.

I'm not sure what you are saying here....but just for the record, once you buy the MP3 encoder you need not buy it again.  You will be able to export MP3s in all your updates.  You might have to re-paste your serial #.

Color customization is the same as X1. However, we did tweak the GUI a bit with new clips in the Clips Pane, a new Matrix View GUI, and some other tweaks.

Color customization is the same as X1. However, we did tweak the GUI a bit with new clips in the Clips Pane, a new Matrix View GUI, and some other tweaks.

What about the console view ? Will it still remain the same grey as in X1 or will we now have the option of changing the colors of the console strips as we could in previous versions like Sonar 7 ? Also the colors of the track strips in the track view ?

can we now record clips into the matrix, or do we still have to record them into the arranger and drag them in?

AFAIK the color customization is the same as X1. Unfortunately, I can't really offer any more insight than that.
