Any help would be great. So when I recorded the audio for about 6-7 songs I didnt create a template or anything. Now in the mixing stage I am having trouble getting each project to sound the same. I am creating effects chains and stuff like that but everytime i mix down it is still not the same. Is there anything I can do??

Well....what can anyone say without hearing the songs???
Have you used same type of instrument sounds etc. so it is possible to make them sound alike?

How alike should they be and how different are they now?? If you've used distortion on bass on one track and none on the other, they
obviously sound different.

Using a frequency analyser and bringing the frequency curves of the songs closer to eachother could be one thing to try.

You might take some fundamental instruments, like drums, bass and/or rhytm guitars closer to eachother by simply copying the settings.

What I do is get one song nailed down. All my VST's are saved as a pre set. I then open that same  pre set in the next song for each track where it was applied before. This will require making a few notes etc but because Sonar lacks a template overlay, you are hooped.
I find this feature is a much needed function but is still not implemented. In the old day's , your mixing board would have all the channels set up and you would roll the multi track and each song would be very close if it was a live session. Now we have to second guess what will be needed even before we hit record. Sonar seems to be designed for one song at a time.

If I'm setting up for a tracking session where a band does several songs, where I used to prep 'a project per song I've since grown quite comfortable with continuing in one tracking project. (Save often of course- and save as' and data backups every chance goes w/o saying!
The cool part is as the day progresses you dial in basic mix improvements that applies (much of it) to them all. Generally saves a lot of moves and makes for fairly easy decent roughs at the end of the day.
Later I'll break the songs into their own projects and data folders typically.
..but always, there comes a point of balance of where to make that break, how to place those newer tweeks' and refinments.  : >)
