I have a Vocal bus, Guitar bus, Bass and Keys bus, Drums bus and a reverb bus. That's good enough for me, but I'm a simple guy.

Almost the same but I never put my bass on a shared bus.

The very sentiment behind this post is what has made my usage of Mixbus similar to yours. The very concept that I have to figure a way to make something fit into my workflow seems kinda nuts.  Every time I read a post in the subject I hope  to see some revolutionary  insight  that makes me want to actually  transfer an entire project to another DAW. I always end up feeling  like people like the thought  of Mixbus more than Mixbus itself.

What I was thinking is, isn't it partly the summing of the mixbuses of Mixbus which contribute towards its sound? In other words, perhaps the way you group things into the mixbuses has an overall effect. So that leads me to think things like: is it worth taking up a bus for just one track? Like if you only have one bass track or one vocal track, perhaps they would be better off being grouped with other tracks rather than being bussed on their own. These are the kinds of thoughts I have as a Mixbus newbie.

Another observation about Mixbus: I find it funny how Harrison offer so many plugins for sale, while at the same time the manual makes this big deal about how the Mixbus console is so great, you won't need any additional effects! Seems a little "inconsistent" as it were

Not bashing them too much, it's still a great piece of kit for the price.
