I don't have those issues with the VST version.   I sue melodyne Assitant (single-track) though, if that matters.

+1 me neither - I am using Essential - no probs here

The only problem I have with Melodyne is that I try to put stuff* into it that should not be put into it.

Another question about ReWire: Is there a way to close and reopen the Melodyne interface without losing all data in Melodyne? If I close the Melodyne window, and try to open it back up, it just reopens Melodyne brand new from scratch.

I use mel editor as a VST. Yup, graphically it is not quite as snappy as one might expect. However, on my i7 processor computer it is adequate, allows me to get the job done. I would imagine that in your i5 it would be quite sluggish. I think they do need to do a better job optimizing graphics. But functionality wise, it beats v-vocal hands down.

Increase your buffer size to at least 1024 when working with Melo.

Make sure you have the Input monitor button ON, that way when you click a note object you are working on it will play and hold. (Audition) Also, then you can double click anywhere in melodyne to playback from there. (sonar doesn't play along though, just melodyne).

Melodyne works fine for me. Yes... you can not work exclusively in the MD window for setting the playback start point... you must do that from the Sonar time line. And you have to stop the playback to "jump to another section of the since since in playback....MD is following the clock not the time line. As long as you start properly, they stay synced.

For me this is not a problem. I keep the Melo window below the time line and start and stop from cake and it works fine.
