I am going to throw my hat into the Mastering arena and have been doing some research on how to look at the frequency of a track to help remove unwanted frequencies.  What effect do we have in X1 that will analyze frequency and give a visual display better than Multi Band Eq by Sonitus?

Try Voxengo Span - it's free and rather excellent.

An audio plug-in called Analyst. You can get others (some for free) elsewhere on the web.

No.

Or rather, the site is blocked by my work ISP.

Just do a Google search for Voxengo Span.

Ditto on Span-I use it quite a lot. Prefer it to Analyst.

MAnalyzer from MeldaProduction is good for identifying the peaks.
The free version has some features disabled but still works well.
