Unfortunately, yes, it was one of the first things I checked.

     Try increasing the latency setting. If your latency is too low it will result in no audio. I have run into this problem with a friends Presonus. Also, like they said before, the driver does not install well if the interface was plugged in first. Be sure to clean out the Windows temp file folder of anything left over from the first attempt to install. You shpuld see a focusrite folder in there somewhere. Then clean the registry, thoroughly! My registry cleaner has to run thru at least two scans to get everything out of there.
     I have had no trouble at all with my Saffire 6 USB. I wish you well because if you can get it working, it will be worth all the trouble. Good Luck!

In Preferences-Audio Driver Settings, is the Saffire listed as the Playback Timing Master and the Record Timing Master? 

In Preferences-Audio-Playback and Recording, Share Drivers With Other Programs should be checked. Also, Use MMCSS  should be checked

In Preferences-Configuration File, try clicking on Reset Config to Defaults. Maybe there's still some Emu stuff in there.  Then restart Sonar.

I would recommend to create a new X1 Song and import all tracks into it.

I tried everything you suggested (deleting temp files, cleaning registry etc.) and it is STILL not working. I have the feeling it cannot be fixed with the songs that I made using the E-MU.

How do you import specific tracks into a new song while keeping effects, presets etc? Or is it not possible? I can only seem to import individual clips, and it would probably take me weeks to get them all into the right place.

So Sonar works with the Saffire if you create a new project? But not on old projects created with the E-MU?

I was under the impression you could not get it to work at all. 

I only noticed it today but yeah its very strange... I don't understand why it wouldn't work on the old projects because I have deleted every E-MU/Creative Pro file on my computer (at least I think I have) and reset config to defaults like daveny5 suggested.

Well that's cool! At least you know the Saffire works. I'm sure there is just some little thing causing the problem.

But this little thing is extremely hard to pinpoint..... I would really prefer to not have to import tracks into a new project... No matter how long it takes to solve this problem.
