I tried to search for this problem, however I am not sure what to search for exactly. I had Sonar Producer 8.5 before and I had this problem before. I cant remember how I fixed it. I now have Sonar X1. When I use my VS100 to record anything it seems to be fine. But when I play it back, the audio is very choppy. Cutting in and out very quickly. This is highly annoying, and I figured getting X1 would alleviate these problems. I am kind of afraid to mess around with some of the settings in advanced options. I really do not want to screw anything up. Can anyone help me out here? I really want to dive into this thing, but I am being held back by this for over 3 days now! HEEELLLLP! No matter where I set my buffer options, nothing seems to remedy this.

Ok I fixed it. Sheesh what a pain. I wish Cakewalk would support their hardware better. You would think that hardware that cakewalk makes would just work with no issues. Thanks for anyone that was going to reply. All I did was select ASIO mode in the recording options.

Umm, it does support it! You just did NOT set it up coreclty. Its not plug and play. you need to configure your sound card before using sonar.
Thats normal operation.
 
Before bashing somenthing, you should read and learn how things work. Your 100000% off base. They wrote ASIO drivers for that sound card. Thats why you had to chgose it. DUH!!! 
 
If you would have took thge 5 minutes to read through the manual on setting up your sound card, you would have learned that and you would not be telling false statements about something!!!!!
