what your seeing is the overflow of some users comming on here and bad mouthing sonar out of frustration.
your comment could have been taken either way as an insult or a joke.

alot of us here(including myself)love and defend this software constantly from the pro tools lovers that come over here just to ruffle some feathers for fun.
so some of us(including myself) get color blind.
Fog is actually a pretty good guy.dont sweat it.

For what it's worth....

I have experienced similar issues with the ASIO driver. If I need to shut down X1 for any reason, Most times it will come back up and run OK, but occasionally the communication link between the computer & software and the interface gets broken.

A restart of both DAW and interface get it rolling. During the restart... I take a few minutes to stretch the legs and get a beverage refill.

Lol! you guys rock! All updates installed and all seems OK!
I have been using Cakewalk since the Pro Audio days when you only had four tracks of Audio to play with! Its still my favorite DAW! So please consider me a fellow user :)

Thanks for all the good advice!

Glad it worked:

I didn't personally take your comments as sarcastic but I figured that fog's comment may have come from having thought your comments were.

I hope you can see that it's no big deal as I did continue to make a number of what I hoped were useful suggestions.

i find generally that text alone lumps us with all sorts of baggage that may or may not be real.

Anyway the main thing is that you've got your problem sorted out. It sounded so much like my first forays into SONAR X1 before any patches were released especially before X1c.
