hello again...

recording the MIDI output of my Roland TD-9's into SONAR XI, so as to be able to use Session Drummer.

everything gets recorded just fine, save for the Hi-Hit MIDI Messages...which wind up recording on three different drum notes...one for closed hi-hat...one for open...& one for some other cymbal.  AND their ass-backwards...the closed & open notes are reversed...& the rogue cymbal appears at the same timescale location as the open.  AND...the finese work in between is not recording...for example...the sound of the hi-hat being closed or opened gradually.

is there anything I can do in SONAR XI to sync the TD-9's recorded MIDI output to that of Session Drummer (vis-a-vis the hi-hat)...???

is it a problem originating w/ the output of the TD-9's (which I doubt)...or Session Drummer.

sure would like to get this cleaned up...have a bunch of drum tracks to record.

thanx,

btw - i know i don't have the 'hi-hat control' & 'hi-hat' cables reversed, otherwise...there would be no output at all from the hi-hat

1) Foot pedals often have a polarity setting that can be reversed. I believe the footpedal on my keyboard gets reversed if I hold the foot pedal down while powering up the keyboard. Check your TD-9 manual.

2) You can sync external MIDI devices to Sonar. You set it up in Preferences-Project-MIDI
