I'm late to the party, but, oh, what a blast.  This reminded me of a George Martin production because it evolved so well in a short time.  The mix I heard sounds pretty darn good!  It's fun to see you wearing different shoes and hats!

Hi Lynn,  thanks for giving this a listen and commenting
yeah, what you heard was only a few days old ,  your not late just fashionably on time ….
Sir George Martin is somebody I admire …..not to knock myself here , he probably forgot more about music and production than I will ever learn …..having said that it still don't hurt to try …..come to think of it it only hurts when I stop trying
I'm glad you found something to enjoy w my music

Interesting, just listened to the latest. It feels like an experiment at this point. There are things I could point to, but I'll defer and look forward to this new self exploration. My biggest input would be that it needs to flow better? It feels like pieces from different songs, rather than a song with transitions.

Hi Robbie ,

OK , if you genuinely don't like the direction of my song or where it's going I'm OK with that …...

if you happen to have constrictive criticism that could point out what you think could improve my song ...
by all means …don't hold back …I'm all ears …..

Yeah, it's true , in a few places it could flow better….

the way I hear this , and what I have posted are "apparently different things "  in a lot of areas

Tangerine Dream revisited.  Killer tone, what you running through?  The switch from rock to jazz sound is stark and very cool.  Good stuff my man.   I got a video of Joe Pass to watch tonight.

Still working on it. Different kind of song, I mean - sounds good. But the mix, still to me needs work, perhaps more bottom end.

Hi Daryl,
for the midi guitar I used my De Armond Starfire IV …those sounds are the choir , strings , glock and various other synth textures.
the first soaring solo was a Gibson Les Paul R 8 ….yet most of the lead work was done on my Maple neck Tele …...
the Les Paul shows up a lot but mostly as a supporting type of texture in the backround
the clean section is mostly a full sized Hollow body Howard Roberts  type of guitar …..
my Bass was a Yamaha RB ...
I usually print the sounds I'm looking to record as I record them …..all of my tones are mostly hardware and pedals
I might just add a touch of Perfect Space ….for glue

thanks for taking the time my friend

spacealf ,
Yes , I'm still working on it …admittedly i did let it go for a while
I have a much better mix over here that is a lot fuller w better levels ….
this mix also  has a much richer bottom …
I'm very reluctant to post it as it is now ….
I feel since I'm carving my own little genre over here  I might as well get better at it before I start sharing it ...
thank you for your honesty

Hey Kenny. Sorry I don't have anything to add, just wanted to say I really enjoyed listening to this. Well, I guess I could add how amazing it is that one as accomplished as you is, yet, still setting new goals, and going for it. That's inspiring. Thanks for including us in this new journey!   Jim

Ya, the mix to me also sounded close, I thought I heard a chord at 2:04 I was not sure of, and later on around 3:55 not sure something there, but then again I really doubt if I comprehended it all just listening to it.
In fact I know I did not.
Quite a piece of work.

Kenny, this one definitely deserves some long-term love, even if it means periodically putting it on the back burner to simmer awhile. I can picture this becoming a 20-minute opus in 3 or 4 movements.

I really appreciate a song that keeps changing it up and introducing new textures as it builds, and throwing in unexpected points of interest along the way. Great potential in this piece!

Listening to the tune right now. I think it is fantastic. Lots of good melodic ideas, excellent arraignment outstanding playing as usual. Nice stuff amigo. The melodic and chordal changes are great. Nice ideas.

Well done
