Re: OTS Slide vs. Indiginus slides...they are quite different animals.

Indiginus slides are sampled, OTS slides are scripted. Neither is necessarily better. Sampled slides sound authentic with zero effort, but are limited in range. Scripted slides in OTS libraries can be up to an octave and have many more options, such as sliding into a specified chord. Indiginus libraries invite live playing and instant gratification, while OTS libraries encourage MIDI editing and greater realism.

The only practical solution: get both!

Of course, you can get two or three Indiginus libs for the price of one OTS lib, so if money is a concern, I'd start with Indiginus while saving up for OTS.

At least I'm selective about what I push.

Welp...after watching the overview walkthrough video this little gem is well worth pushing.  Sounds fab.  And looks EZ.  Dern!

I did my first Renegade track last night.

Sometimes, you're impressed by the vendor's demo tracks only to be disappointed when your own first attempts don't meet expectations. Not in this case. I was quite pleased with what came out with minimal effort.

Of course, being a new instrument I did a lot of experimenting and tweaking and even read the manual. But as with all of Tracy's stuff this one is near-instant gratification right out of the box.

Getting both: this sounds like a great idea!

Sadly I am sidelined with Kontakt 4....

Don't let that put you off, Mark. Renegade needs K5 but I think pretty much all of Indiginus' other libraries only require K4.

These include the excellent Renaxxance (nylon classical guitar), Torch, Strum Maker IV, Delta Blues (acoustic slide guitar, one of my faves), Acoustic Guitar Collection (use it all the time!), Mountain Dulcimer, and Solid State Symphony (fun!).

<sniff> but that's the one I wanted....

I use their Acoustic Guitar Collection a lot! I blend them in with MusicLab's Real Guitar on most of my projects...I just found out about Solid State Symphony from you earlier. I need to check it out!

Much like Schuffham, Orangetree and Valhalla, Indiginous make top shelf, affordable software.

Just bought Renegade and Torch with my birthday gift cash from my in-laws.

I have AGC and SSS.

I need to spend more time with all my Indiginus tools.
