  • Has anybody gone through, and done a really funky color layout for X1?

Not like a mod..  but a clr file, that we'all could import...  does anybody have anything fun and funky?

You mean one can actually export Sonar's color layout or save it in a file?

Will look into that.

Lately I've been thinking of changing the color scheme. You know... during those moments when your brain is too fried to do anything decent...

Oh wow..  Totally go for it..  I would, but I am so not color cordinated.  I would totally love something dark, black/midnight black or dark death blue, with high contrast pink, yellow, or sky blue, or white text..

and then with the rest of the colors matching somehow...

thank you

I can't even get X1 to keep my track colors in track templates.  The whole color issue in X1 is a real sore spot for me.  A case of de-evolution from 8.5.3

Give us back total control of colors, Cakewalk!!!!

I sure hope X2 has at least some improvements in the interface with regard to colour management.

sonar mods, theres some real nice ones.
the guy who designs them is a really nice guy as well.
his name is panu.
im not sure but i think at one point he was working on a color editor that would allow you to make your own mods.

Ok..  I signed up for Panu's website, and I checked out some of the mods..   Although really cool..   My favorite, "nite-lite," was so fun too look at, but changed everything so much, that I decided, "only on special occasions."

This seems to be an issue avoided by the Cakewalk people who post on this forum.  I am not sure why.  If they do not care about the color issue, then just say so. But many customers do care.  As soon as I am done with my latest 8.5.3. project,  I need to check out other DAW systems - and I have been with Cakewalk for about 14 years.  I am not saying I will not go to X2 - but it is not automatic - I need to shop again.
